Dr. Ram Gidoomal Publishes the Report in a News Conference in Washington, DC

Mr. Gidoomal was held at the National Press Building on February 7, 2003 at 10:30 AM.  Mr. John Prabhudoss of Policy Institute For Religion And State introduced Mr. Gidoomal.

Mr. Gidoomal CBE, a well known businessman, social activist and a candidate in the London Mayoral 2000 elections in the UK, spoke about the threat of mixing religion with politics in South Asia, especially in India. He also argued against the silence of international governments and inaction in the case of a pogrom committed by a state government in the western Indian state of Gujarat in February of 2002.

Mr. Gidoomal released the hard copy of the report compiled by South Asian Concerns of UK called the "Healing The Wounds - Human Rights and Minorities in India, the Proceedings if a Conference held in London, 15 August 2002"
