Prof. K.M. Aaron Chenoy is the Professor & Chair, Group of Comparative Politics & Political Theory, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Prof. Chenoy belongs to a small Indian Jewish community calld the Baghdadi Jews.  He lives in New Delhi, India with his wife and family.

Prof. Chenoy is also the Vice President, All India Peace and Solidarity Organization; Founder member Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament and Peace, India; He is a well known Human Rights activist. He is a former President of the Federation of Central Universities Teachers' Associations, India and

the former president of JNU Teachers' Association. Prof. Chenoy taught earlier in Columbia University, New York, & Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. He has written extensively in Indian & foreign journals. He is a regular Political Commentator in print & electronic media in India.

Prof. Chenoy has authored reports on attacks on Christians in Gujarat, April 1999; human rights violations in Kashmir, March 2001; and two reports on Gujarat: 'Ethnic Cleansing in Ahmedabad', March 2002, & 'Gujarat Carnage, 2002: A Report to the Nation,' April 2002.

Prof. Chenoy has testified before the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, Washington D.C. USA, June 2002 on violence in Gujarat.
